Work/Sports & Courts—Case study
A full redesign of a working sports facility's website — built on their existing stack, shipped to their live server, then revised with the owner until the punch list hit zero.
01/04 The brief Sports & Courts
Sports & Courts North is a roughly 20,000-square-foot indoor sports complex in Wexford, PA — a full-size gymnasium, an attached field house, and a Pilates studio, booked by coaches, clubs, and teams year-round. Its website dated to 2016 and no longer matched how the business actually runs.
The owner came to us with a specific list: new facility-rental copy, a training-partners section, an events area, and a contact form that reliably reaches the inbox — plus an open invitation to make the whole site look better, as long as we kept the facility's established orange and blue.
02/04 What we did Sports & Courts
The site runs on a custom 2016 PHP framework with no CMS. Instead of selling a migration, we rebuilt the design and templates inside the framework that was already there — no new hosting bill, no content migration, no downtime.
Bold display type, photography of the actual facility, and the established orange and blue, applied across every page — home, about, training, calendar, and contact. Mobile-first, because that's where people look up court times.
Outdated program and party copy removed sitewide, new welcome and facility-rental copy in place, a training-partners section with live links, and an events area designed to collapse gracefully when the calendar is quiet.
We deployed to the facility's live server on July 1, 2026, then worked the owner's marked-up printouts item by item — photo swaps, partner cleanup, copy corrections — until nothing was left on the list.
